Plans, billing and usage
Your KiliChat plan and Meta's message charges are billed separately:
- Your KiliChat plan is paid to Digital Tamila, monthly, every 3 months or yearly.
- Meta's message charges are paid by your business directly to Meta, on the card in your WhatsApp Manager.
For the plan prices and what Meta charges for, see What it costs.
How do I pay for my KiliChat plan?
Payments happen outside the KiliChat app. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll send you a way to pay, for example by UPI, bank transfer or card. Once we receive it, we record it and move your next due date forward.
If a renewal is coming up or overdue, we may send you a reminder on WhatsApp with the amount and due date.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, at any time. Plans are monthly, with no long contract. Message us to upgrade, downgrade or cancel. If you need more numbers or team members than your plan allows, we'll suggest the right plan.
Can I get a receipt?
Yes. Ask us on WhatsApp or at info@kilichat.com. Meta's invoices for message charges come from Meta, in your WhatsApp Manager.
Where do I see how many messages we've sent?
Admins can click Usage in the left sidebar. It shows one month at a time. Use the arrows to move to earlier months. If you have more than one business, use the menu to pick All clients or one of them.
At the top are four totals:
| Box | Means |
|---|---|
| Messages sent | Everything your business sent: replies, templates, broadcasts, bots and auto-replies |
| Messages received | Messages customers sent you |
| Charged by Meta | Delivered messages Meta charges for |
| Est. Meta cost | A rough estimate of Meta's charges, if rates have been entered |
Below that, Messages per day shows sent and received messages as bars for each day. Hover over a day to see the exact numbers.
What do the columns in the Usage table mean?
Each number has its own row, grouped by business.
| Column | Means |
|---|---|
| Sent / Received | How many messages went out and came in |
| Delivered | The share of sent messages that reached the customer's phone |
| Read | The share of delivered messages that were read (only for customers with read receipts on) |
| Marketing, Utility, Auth | Messages Meta charged for, by template category |
| Free | Delivered messages Meta didn't charge for, such as replies within 24 hours |
| Est. cost | Estimated Meta charges for that number |
Why are some numbers "estimated"?
Meta tells KiliChat which category it charged a few moments after delivery. Until then, KiliChat guesses from the template's category. The note under the table says how many messages are estimated.
Why does Est. Meta cost show a dash?
The estimate needs Meta's rates for your country. The KiliChat team enters these under Meta's rates for the estimate at the bottom of the Usage page. If a rate is missing, the box says Est. Meta cost: add rates below. Only agency admins can change the rates; ask us if they're missing.
Is the estimate what Meta will actually charge?
Not exactly. It's a guide to help you plan. Meta's prices depend on each customer's country, and Meta can change them. The real amount is on Meta's invoice in WhatsApp Manager.
How do I download the usage report?
Click CSV at the top of the Usage page. You get a spreadsheet for the month with every number's sent, received, delivered and read counts, the charged messages by category, free messages, and the estimated cost.
Why is "Sent" much bigger than "Charged by Meta"?
Most messages are free: replies inside the 24-hour window, bot replies and auto-replies don't cost anything. Only delivered template messages are charged, and utility templates sent while the window is open are free too.
Does KiliChat limit or charge for extra messages?
No. KiliChat never limits sending, on any plan. The Usage page is there so you can keep an eye on Meta's charges.
Who can see Usage?
Admins. Agents don't see the Usage page. KiliChat agency admins can see usage for every client.
For agency admins: Plans & billing
The Plans & billing page (agency admins only) tracks each client's plan, price, billing cycle, status (Trial, Paid up, Due soon, Overdue, Cancelled), next due date and payments. Use Set plan or Edit to change a client's plan and billing contact, Record payment to log a UPI, bank, card, cash or cheque payment (and move the due date forward), and the history icon to see or delete past payments. For clients that are due soon or overdue, the WhatsApp icon opens a ready-written reminder to their billing contact. The Plans card at the bottom holds the list prices and limits; changing a plan's price doesn't change what existing clients pay.
