Sending values
Some templates need something filled in each time they're sent: a header picture, a map position, the end of a link, a coupon code or how long an offer lasts. Sending values are the defaults KiliChat uses for these. You can change them at any time without a new review from Meta.
Which templates have sending values?
The Sending values button appears on an approved template's card if the template has any of these:
- an image, video or document header
- a location header
- a website button whose link ends with
{{1}} - a copy-code button
- a limited-time offer with a countdown
How do I change them?
- Go to Automation → Templates.
- On the approved template, click Sending values.
- Change what you need:
- Header image (or video, document): upload a new file.
- Latitude and Longitude: a new map position for a location header.
- End of the "…" link: what goes in place of
{{1}}. Use{{name}},{{phone}}or{{attr.field}}to fill it in per person, like{{attr.order_id}}. - Coupon code: 1 to 15 letters and numbers.
- Offer lasts (hours from each send): 1 to 720.
- Click Save.
The approved template itself doesn't change.

Templates in flows
For now, the Template step in a flow only fills in the message's {{1}}, {{2}} values. A template with a media or location header, a changing link, a copy-code button, a limited-time offer or a carousel may fail to send from a flow. Use a simple text template in flows, or send richer templates with a sequence instead.
What's the difference between the example and the sending value?
When you created the template, you gave Meta examples to review: a sample picture, a sample link, a sample code. Until you change them, KiliChat sends those same examples. Sending values let you swap in the real ones, for example this month's coupon code or today's offer banner, without asking Meta to review again.
Can I set different values for one broadcast only?
Yes. In the new broadcast window, after you choose the template, extra boxes appear: Header image, End of the "…" link, Coupon code and Offer ends after (hours). Whatever you fill in there is used for that broadcast only. Leave a box empty to use the sending value. See Send a broadcast.
Why is there no Sending values button on my template?
Either the template isn't approved yet, or it doesn't have anything that changes when sending (no media header, location, changing link, copy code or offer countdown). Carousel card pictures are fixed and can't be changed here.
